Parent Participation

Parents are always welcome on campus and encouraged to participate in their child's classroom.

Infant and preschool parents are invited to attend regularly scheduled meetings at Rainbow Springs.  Parent workshops on a wide variety of topics are provided to assist parents in enhancing their child's overall growth and development, as well as to provide the opportunity to network with other parents at the school.

In the infant program, an even greater emphasis is placed on working with the child within the family setting.  The teacher's role is to provide support for the family and implement the Individualized Family Service Plan.  Infant program teachers make home visits on a regular basis.  The home visits are scheduled at a time when at least one parent is present.  The home visits provide an opportunity for the parents to carry out suggested follow up activities and discuss concerns, needs and progress of their child with the teacher.
